Standing out from other Elefante Grass cultivars, BRS Capiaçu presents resistance to tipping over, ease of mechanical harvesting, absence of erect and dense bushes and clumps. BRS Capiaçu can be grown in places with a tropical climate, being recommended for the Atlantic Forest Biome. The cultivar is demanding in relation to soil conditions and must be grown in deep, well-drained soils with good fertility. Demanding cultivar, requiring pH levels above 5.5 and base saturation above 60%. Planting should be carried out using seedlings or culms spaced 0.8 m to 1.2 m apart.

The cultivar is tall (4.2 m); erect clumps; wide, long, green leaves with a white central vein; thick culms (1.6 cm), long internodes (16 cm) and yellowish in color. It has an average of 30 tillers/m2.
